What Is a Good Skin Care Regime?
The path to clear skin is not complicated. A simple skin care regime that includes cleansing with natural products, eating a proper diet, getting exercise and rest, may be the most important step in greatly improving or eliminating problem skin. Does this Spark an idea?

Wash with Care
-
Wash your face once a day with gentle soaps, such as those containing glycerin or an herb like tea tree oil. If after a week you feel the need to wash twice a day, do so once in the morning and once before bed. More than twice a day will dry out your skin, which aggravates acne and other skin conditions. Avoid using benzoyl peroxide and salicylic acid which can strip the skin's surface and aggravate dry skin.
Diet Makes the Difference
-
Remove or reduce foods such as caffeine, processed sugar, carbohydrates, red meat, dairy and fried foods from your diet. Excessive amounts of fat, sugar and chemicals in processed foods may cause dehydration and digestive problems, creating a toxic environment in your body.
Eat more mineral and antioxidant-rich foods such as dark-green leafy vegetables, sea vegetables, and fruits to attack internal toxins, which cause the skin to age faster. -
Moisturize
-
Moisturize to avoid a commonly overlooked reason for problem skin - over-washing. A thin coat of a gentle moisturizer such as regular baby lotion is both gentle and effective. When buying a moisturizer, make sure that you can pronounce and identify the ingredients listed on the back. Look for Vitamin E, aloe vera, cocoa or shea butter, and other natural oils. The purpose of a moisturizer is to keep your skin hydrated without clogging your pores.
Exercise
-
Exercise 3-5 days a week. Regular exercise contributes to better overall health and reduces stress, which is known to cause breakouts.
Relax
-
Relax to relieve stress, which can trigger skin problems. Practice yoga, meditate for at least ten minutes a day, take saunas or quiet walks to unwind. Do not dwell in frustration over your skin since the stress can exacerbate the problem.
Simple, inexpensive products accompanied by an active lifestyle, adequate amounts of rest and a good diet will help clear skin.
