Wildlife should be viewed from a safe distance.

It is important to be safe when you view wildlife. Many wild animals may have diseases that could harm you and your family. Wild animals also become scared very easily and may bite. Coming up with some helpful, memorable slogans may help wildlife visitors remember to be safe.

  1. Safe Distances

    • When you see a stray, always stay away. This phrase allows visitors to remember to keep a good distance between themselves and wildlife.

    Don't Get Too Close

    • Visit 10 today, but stay 20 feet away. This is another phrase that reminds your visitors they are welcome to see as much wildlife as they wish while remaining a safe distance away.

    No Petting

    • Don't touch a critter or you may become park litter. This reminds people that some diseases can kill you, and it is not worth the risk to pet a wild animal.

    Watch Your Back

    • If you don't want an attack, keep the wildlife off your back. This makes sure visitors keep an eye on animals that are behind them.

    No Snakes

    • For goodness sake, don't pick up a snake. Visitors should treat all snakes as if they are poisonous.

    No Feeding the Animals

    • Nature meets their needs, so you don't have to feed. This reminds your wildlife visitors not to feed the animals.
