Facts About OxiClean Bleach Alternative

OxiClean is a powerful stain remover and bleach alternative. It's a versatile oxygen-based alkaline cleaner free of toxic chemicals and harmful abrasives.

  • OxiClean is not a bleach or a detergent. It's meant to be used with detergent to remove laundry stains.

  • OxiClean can be used to clean almost anything, including laundry, carpeting, appliances, lawn furniture, shower curtains and jewelry. It's particularly effective in removing organic stains like mildew, mold, food, wine, pet messes and blood.

  • Since it doesn't contain any dangerous chemicals, OxiClean is odor free and won't harm the environment. The only byproducts are oxygen, water and soda ash. OxiClean is color safe and will also neutralize odors.

  • OxiClean should not be used on wool or silk.

  • Never use OxiClean with chlorine bleach. The combination can produce dangerous gases and heat. If the reaction takes place in a poorly ventilated room, the resulting fumes could prove fatal.

  • Orange Glo International manufactures OxiClean. The product was released in 1997.
