- Some people who take calcium can experience drowsiness, and calcium deposits can build-up within the tissue throughout the body causing a false positive for cancer during X-ray exams.
- Taking too much folic acid, 15 mg or more daily, can cause a person to have a loss of appetite, nausea, interference with sleep and can interfere in detecting a vitamin B12 deficiency.
- Taking 25 mg of Iron or more daily can cause intestinal upset, loss of appetite, as well as toxic build-up in the heart, liver, and pancreas.
- Niacin is known to cause a person to flush, feel nauseous or vomit, and experience headaches. People with liver disease should not use Niacin.
- Vitamin A causes side effects like nausea, vomiting, headache and drowsiness that may go away as the body becomes used to taking the vitamin.
- Vitamin C can cause a person to experience nausea, diarrhea, and flatulence.
