- Seek immediate medical attention when taking Zetia if you experience jaundice, dark urine, chest pain or severe upper stomach pain.
- Minor side effects associated with Zetia are diarrhea, tiredness, headache, depression, cough and back pain.
- Zetia should not be taken if you have liver disease or are allergic to ezetimibe. You should also avoid Zetia if you have diabetes or overactive thyroid.
- Some drugs that are know to interact with Zetia include Colestid, Atromid-S, Lopid, Neoral and Prevalite. Blood thinners are also known to interact. You should tell your doctor about any medications or vitamins you are taking.
- Although an overdose of Zetia is not known to cause a fatality, if you believe you may have overdosed, you should seek medical attention right away.
