Hummer Vs. Jeep
The Hummer and the Jeep were once family members, part of the American Motors Corporation (AMC). Even though they currently belong to different automobile families, the vehicles still share similarities beyond their militaristic styling.

The Hummer comes in three models: H3 (mid-size SUV), H2 (full-size SUV) and H3T (mid-size truck). The Jeep comes as an SUV of various sizes. They are the Wrangler, Patriot, Compass, Liberty, Commander and Grand Cherokee.
Engines and Transmissions

Depending on which Hummer you are getting, you have a choice between an inline 5-cylinder or V8 engine, and between 5-speed manual or 4-speed automatic transmissions. Jeeps are equipped with inline 4-cylinder, V6 or V8 engines, with 5-speed manual, and continuously variable transmissions available.
Safety Features

There is not much to differentiate between Hummers and Jeeps as far as safety features go. All models have ABS brakes, vehicle anti-theft systems, and a multitude of airbags as standard characteristics.
Interior Features

Both Hummers and Jeeps seat up to five occupants. However, the Hummer has more interior space. The vehicles share common interior features, such as cruise control, CD stereo system and driver multi-adjustable power seat.
Exterior Features

Features like alloy wheels, automatic headlights and daytime running lights, and power windows are standard in all Hummers and Jeeps. Size of wheels vary from 16 to 20 inches, depending on which model you wish to buy.
