Types of Cologne
Women like a man who smells good, and men like to smell good for women. Choices abound that will satisfy both women and men but won't break the bank. Does this Spark an idea?
-
Canoe: Easygoing
-
You will like the scent of Canoe, since it is not overpowering and not too sweet. Canoe can be found in a gift pack for around $21.
Stetson: Western Style
-
Leathery. That's one of the best ways to describe the smell of Stetson. A 2.25 oz. bottle of Stetson costs about $23.
-
Aspen: Mountain High
-
This is a sweet-smelling cologne, and it does not take much to overdo it, so use it sparingly. It really does have a nice scent to it when applied conservatively. You can purchase a nice 4oz. bottle for as little as $5.49.
Drakkar: Fruity
-
In her book, "Perfumes, Splashes & Colognes: Discovering & Crafting Your Personal Fragrances," Nancy Booth lists the scent of Drakkar in the citrus category, but it still smells quite manly. You can find this fragrance for about $19 for a two-piece set, which includes a 1-oz. spray and 1.7-oz. aftershave balm.
Mustang: Woody but Fresh
-
This scent, says Jonathan Ramsey in his article "Do You Smell Fastback? Estee Lauder announces Mustang cologne," combines lavender, ginger and lemon with pipe tobacco and cedar wood, amber, fir balsam and patchouli. A three-piece set can be had for $28; it includes a 1.7-oz. spray, 1.7-oz aftershave and a 2.5-oz. body wash.
