Normal Pulse Rate in Females
Female heart rates vary based on age. As a female child grows, her heart rate gradually slows down, as the heart enlarges. An adult woman's heart is slightly smaller than the average man's but has a faster heart rate.

Adult Female Pulse Rate

The average resting female adult pulse rate is between 60 and 100 BPM (beats per minute), according to New York State Emergency Medical Service (NYEMS).
Adolescent

NYEMS notes that the heart rate for adolescent females, aged 13 to 18, should range from 60 to 100 BPM, the same as adult females.

6-12 Years

The normal heart rate for female children ages 6 to 12 is from 70 to 120 BPM.
4-5 Years

Normal preschool-aged (4- and 5-year-old) female heart rates are 80 to 140 BPM.
Toddlers

The NYEMS says the when female toddlers (12-36 months) are resting, their normal heart rate should be from 90 to 150 BPM.
Infants

Female infants under one year of age have heart rates ranging from 100 to 160 BPM (normal range).
