What Is an iTouch?
The iPod Touch is a hand-held touchscreen media player, Wi-Fi Internet device and personal digital assistant (PDA). It is developed, manufactured and marketed by Apple Inc. The iPod Touch launched in September 2007. The second generation became available in September 2008.

The iPod Touch is commonly used for accessing the Internet through a Wi-Fi connection, listening to stored music and watching videos (stored in memory and downloaded from Internet sites such as YouTube). It has many of the same features as the iPhone, not including calling or texting.

The iPod Touch is preloaded with numerous applications, including Internet browser, music player, video player, maps, stocks, weather, world clocks and games. More than 15,000 additional applications--free and purchasable--can be downloaded from the Apple website or transferred from a computer through iTunes.
