Inverse Psoriasis Treatments
Treatment for inverse psoriasis is not easy since it's usually found in crevices of the body, such as in the armpits and underneath the breasts. The placement of this psoriasis can hinder the cream or ointment treatments because of the perspiration that occurs in these areas; the sweat dilutes the effectiveness of the treatment.

Types
-
Coal tar, Dovenex and steroid ointments can be used for this type of psoriasis, but given the position of the lesions, it can be hard for the medication to work properly.
Creams
-
When applied as directed, these creams can help relieve the itching and irritation associated with this type of psoriasis.
-
Side Effects/Warnings
-
Follow the directions carefully when using the steroid creams. If too much of the cream is used, or if it is not used as directed, it can cause stretch marks and possible thinning of the skin.
Symptoms
-
Some of the first symptoms of this type of psoriasis are red lesions that are shiny and smooth. Itching and burning are also associated with inverse psoriasis.
Causes
-
Sensitivity to sweating and possibly friction are two main causes of inverse psoriasis; yeast overgrowth is another possible cause.
