Complications such as nerve damage, temporary paralysis, blood clots, excessive blood loss, age, infections and not following doctor's recommendations can cause slow and painful healing times after a plastic surgery procedure.

Results

If you're dealing with an unskilled surgeon, you may have to live with deformities caused by a botched surgery or endure other painful surgeries to repair the damage.

Cost

Depending on the procedure, the cost of plastic surgery can range from a few hundred to a few thousand dollars.

Health

People with health problems such as heart conditions, lung disease, high cholesterol, high blood pressure, diabetes and emphysema have a higher risk of complications from plastic surgery.

Considerations

Trauma, guilt, dealing with reactions from loved ones and adjusting to the change in your appearance can lead to depression.
