-

Visually Determining Your Puppy's Healthy Weight
-
Puppies grow in a variety of ways, and it is difficult to ascertain whether your Labrador puppy is at a healthy weight when they grow and change so quickly. Instead of determining the appropriate weight of your puppy by a number, consider the body shape of your puppy. If you can feel the outline of his ribs, see his waist from above, and he presents a tuck in his belly, then he is considered to be of a healthy weight.
Bottom Line
-
Most Labrador puppies at 4 weeks old will fall into the recommended weight guidelines of 7 to 8 1/2 lbs. If your puppy does not, however, consider visually gauging your puppy's weight and adjust its feeding accordingly.
