Adobe Dreamweaver is a web design and development software package for creating standards-compliant, cross-browser compatible and interactive web sites. The software seamlessly integrates with other Adobe products, such as Fireworks and Flash for inserting images, cascading style sheets and animation into websites. Training for Dreamweaver is available online and in other mediums.

    • Dreamweaver classes can be found at art schools, community colleges and even community learning centers. While art college classes may be limited to enrolled students, aspiring web designers can check the schedule of other educational institutions that may cost a lot less than a college class. Adobe-certified training provider companies, such as Lodestone.com and Trainsimple.com, also conduct on-site Dreamweaver classes in cities all over the country.

    • Adobe, Total Training and Lynda.com all sell training DVDs. Lynda.com and Total Training have online classrooms as well. Students purchase classes or time-based passes for entrance into the classrooms. Instruction is self-paced and exercises are available to test student comprehension.

    • The support section of Adobe's website has a comprehensive array of online training videos. The video topics range from learning how to use the Site Setup feature of Dreamweaver to other more advanced subjects. Adobe employees create a webisodes of a show called "Inside the Dreamlabs" showcasing tips, tricks and upcoming Dreamweaver features.

    Books

    • There is no shortage of Dreamweaver training books on the market. Adobe publishes its on line of training manuals available for purchase from Adobe.com. The well known technical publishing company O'Reilly publishers more than a dozen books about the software. Wiley, the publisher of the popular "For Dummies" series, has a "Dreamweaver CS5 All-in-One For Dummies" book on the market. Wiley also publishes the comprehensive "Dreamweaver CS5 Bible." The Sams series of technology books has "Sams Teach Yourself Dreamweaver CS5 in 24 Hours."

    Online Forums

    • Forums are a great place for new users and veterans to discuss issues that are not covered in training programs and books. Forum visitors can get answers to questions about software glitches, challenging coding issues, cascading style sheets issues and other problems. Adobe.com has a forum for users but also lists on its support page external sites, such as Creativecow.net, as good resources. Another high-traffic forum resource is Dreamweaverclub.com.

    Certifications

    • For expert users who want to become Adobe-certified users of Dreamweaver, there is an Adobe Certified Expert (ACE) program available on Adobe.com. After taking training classes and becoming proficient in the programs, users can register for a certification exam. Those who pass are granted an ACE credential.
