Peachtree Training
Peachtree software provides options for business accounting systems ranging from basic to advanced procedures, and makes add-on modules available to customize and extend program functionality. To make the best use of Peachtree's numerous features, the company offers a variety of training options that include assistance from within the program, as well as numerous external training options. In addition, third-party providers offer a variety of training avenues.
-
Internal Training
-
Training available from within the Peachtree program includes a Help menu, training tutorials, and links to the Peachtree Knowledge Base and User Community. The Knowledge Base allows you to find answers to frequently asked questions, and the User Community provides a way for you to ask questions, answer questions others may have and interact with other Peachtree users. The User Community has specific sections that cover general accounting questions, payroll and tax questions, reports, and a feedback section.
Anytime Learning
-
Sage University offers self-paced training via Peachtree Anytime. A subscription to Peachtree Anytime covers a one-year period and allows company-wide access to training materials, practice sessions and quizzes via the Internet. General knowledge subscriptions concentrate on providing information on the general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, basic payroll, basic inventory and reporting. These include a Comprehensive version covering 107 topics and an Essentials version covering 63 topics. Specialized subscriptions cover product features in more detail and include Inventory, Payroll and Report Design.

Realtime Learning
-
Sage University offers instructor-led training via Peachtree Realtime. Certified Peachtree instructors conduct this training in a video conferencing format at specific dates and times set by Peachtree. A benefit to Realtime Learning is the ability to interact with your instructor and other classmates in real-time, ask questions, and participate in practice exercises. Enrolling your company in Realtime Learning requires contacting a Sage University representative at 800-626-0941.
Self-Study Guides
-
Peachtree provides training materials in print format with self-study guides. Most guides also include a CD containing sample data so you do not have to "practice" using live company data. Four separate guides contain instructional information, exercises, activities and "insider information" on basic, advanced and specialized product features. Self-study guides currently available for purchase on the Peachtree website include Basic Self-Study, Advanced Self-Study, Forms and Financials, and Using Crystal Reports. Peachtree also provides a generalized accounting study guide for users unfamiliar with basic accounting.
On-Site Training
-
Businesses that prefer in-person, instructor-led training have the option to contract with a certified Peachtree instructor and receive training customized for their industry and the skill-level of class participants. Peachtree maintains a list of qualified instructors on their website, available to complete training either on-site or at a designated training facility. If you are looking for this type of training, Peachtree recommends locating a trainer through their website, as they continually monitor the quality of service these instructors provide.
Third Party Training
-
An additional source for Peachtree training involves third-party training providers. Numerous third-party providers offer both on-site and Web-based Peachtree training. This type of training can include training from beginner to advanced and be face-to-face, video conferencing, Web-based eLearning or online tutorials. Most training is fee-based but many online sites provide a free demo course you can use to evaluate training methods.
