History
-
In 1893, the Blenko Glass Company was created. Beginning in Kokomo, Indiana, Blenko Glass continued to operate, but eventually had to close due to a bad economy. In 1909, Blenko Glass reopened first in Point Marion, Pennsylvania and then in Clarksburg, West Virginia. Affordable natural glass prices ultimately brought Blenko Glass to Milton, West Virginia and, in 1923, the company began to enjoy success.

In 1933, William Sr. negotiated an impressive contract in which Blenko Glass Company became the exclusive glass manufacturer for Colonial Williamsburg.
