Cellulite Removal Treatment
The term cellulite is used to describe the pockets of fat that show on the skin where excess fat is gathered. The dimpling effect known as cellulite is common in most adult women and tends to form on the buttocks, thighs and arms. Both obese and thin women get cellulite. Women tend to show signs of cellulite during hormonal changes such as pregnancy or menopause when changes in the body affect blood flow, fat storage and the lymphatic system. Does this Spark an idea?

Creams
-
Most topical creams are ineffective in themselves for eradicating cellulite, though creams and lotions that contain antioxidants or anti-inflammatory agents can stimulate blood flow and help to repair the dimpled skin. Skin covering cellulite is usually dry and any kind of moisturizer can help to temporarily disguise the cellulite. Popular lotions on the market for treating cellulite include Body Solution, Cellulean and Murad.
Home Remedies
-
Massage has proven affective for breaking up the fat deposits that cause cellulite. Used in conjunction with cellulite removal creams, gentle massage for five to 10 minutes a day can reduce the amount of cellulite and restore skin to its natural, smooth texture. While electric massagers often are touted by manufacturers as being the best way to loosen unsightly cellulite deposits, gentle massage with a soft-bristled brush in a circular motion can be just as effective.

Coffee
-
Caffeine has natural ingredients that can constrict blood vessels. When instant coffee is rubbed onto warm, wet skin, the area will constrict immediately, providing a smoother texture. For more intensive treatments with coffee, used coffee grounds can be rubbed onto dry skin. This should be performed over newspaper or an area that can be discarded or easily cleaned. The coffee-coated cellulite can then be wrapped in plastic, such as Saran Wrap, for about five minutes, then rinsed off. When the procedure is practiced twice a week, visible results should ensue within a few weeks.
Exercise
-
A strict regimen of cardiovascular exercises should be included in any cellulite treatment plan. Aerobic exercises, done every day for 30 minutes, stimulate circulation and improve the lymphatic systems needed to remove cellulite. Sweating helps to purify the skin and rid it of the dry dimpled patches. In addition to aerobic classes, other sports that provide valuable cardiovascular results are jogging, walking, tennis and skating. Fitness machines that can help promote healthy skin and fat reduction include elliptical machines, rowers and steppers.
Surgery
-
Researchers at the National Institutes for Health warn about the inherent dangers of surgical procedures such as liposuction to reduce cellulite. Painful recovery times and possible surgical complications should be considered before resorting to the knife. There are three basic kinds of surgery used for liposuction. Tumescent liposuction is the most common and involves the insertion of large amounts of saline and anesthetics into the area where the fat is to be removed. The excess fluids are then suctioned out with the fat, reducing blood loss and bruising. A similar technique utilizes fewer fluids and is done under a general anesthesia. Ultrasound-assisted liposuction uses vibrations to liquefy the fat before it is removed.
