About Weak Points in the Human Body
The human body has the ability to grow, adapt and repair itself. However, it is also an uneven organism. There are parts of the human body that are strong and other parts that are weak. It is important to protect and care for the weak points in the human body. Injury or illness to these weak points can cause stress, pain, disability and death. Martial arts athletes target weak areas of their opponent's body.

Effects
-
The neck, back and head are especially vulnerable. They house the bulk of the nervous system that allows us to think and feel. The neck is a relatively weak joint. If it is broken, death is likely. The back is a strangely engineered column of vertebrae that allow us to stand erect. Muscle and nerve problems in the back are common and if the spinal cord is severed, paralysis occurs. The skull is quite hard as a protection for the brain, but when jostled suddenly, a concussion occurs. The effects range from dizziness to unconsciousness to death.
Features
-
Our five senses give us the ability to perceive the world around us. However they are also among the weakest parts of the body. Any kind of trauma inflicted on the eyes, ears, nose, tongue or skin is painful and potentially debilitating. You can lose your senses of sight, hearing, smell and taste from trauma to your senses. The skin is the largest organ of the body. It has remarkable regenerative abilities yet cannot recover from severe burns over a large portion of the body.

Function
-
Human joints are weak points. Joints that are exposed to a great deal of motion in multiple directions are especially vulnerable. It is common for people to have trouble with knee and hip joints. These bear our entire weight and are supported by a complex system of ligaments and tendons. If a knee or hip is struck or moved in the wrong direction, permanent damage can occur. Athletes often have trouble with elbow and shoulder joints. If they are exposed to too many stresses they can hyperextend, break or dislocate.
Considerations
-
Your body relies on your heart every moment of your life. The heart itself is a very strong muscle but it depends on an intricate system of arteries and veins to carry blood. Poor cardiovascular health leads to blood clots, hemorrhages, heart attacks and strokes. Since the entire cardiovascular system is interdependent, one weak link brings it all down. The way to protect your cardiovascular health is with overall fitness and good nutrition.
Identification
-
Other organs of the body can also be weak points. Most are vital to survival. The kidneys, liver, lungs, spleen and sex organs are vulnerable to failure if subjected to intense trauma. They can also be targeted by diseases like cancer.
