Creating visual and tactile memories by scrapbooking will be a keepsake that any bride-to-be will treasure. Scrapbook pages are fitting mementos to give a bride, detailing the experiences that lead up to her wedding day. Incorporate a scrapbooking activity into the bridal shower so that the guests can participate in making a special memory for the bride.
Every Guest Takes Photos
Have disposable cameras available at the bridal shower location. Place them on the guests' tables, food tables, gift table and elsewhere around the room so that guests can take photos throughout the shower. After the shower is over, develop the photos and pick the best ones to use for your scrapbook pages.
Write Down Memories
A guests arrive, give them each a piece of card stock or wedding-themed scrapbook paper, which you can purchase at a craft or specialty card store. Ask each guest to write down one memory of the bride. It can be funny, sweet, obnoxious, sentimental--any type of memory will do. Have them write their names their pieces of paper, and take each person's photo. After you've gotten the photos printed, put each person's memory with her photo and combine them to make scrapbook pages for the bride. Look for wedding scrapbook embellishments to decorate the pages.
Instant Camera Contest
Although instant cameras don't take the best pictures in terms of aesthetics and quality, they make for instant satisfaction. Go around and take photos of the bridal shower--the guests, the food, the decorations, the bride opening presents, the cake--with one of these cameras. Gather the photos and put them on a table with some scrapbook paper, card stock and a variety of embellishments for all of the guests. Ask each guest to create her own scrapbook page. Have the bride look through all of the pages and choose her favorite. The person who designed that page gets a prize. After the shower, take all of the pages and turn them into a book to give to the bride as a pre-wedding present.
