Hi, I'm Jake with Specialized Garage Doors here in Salt Lake City. We're here to talk about how to keep a garage door from sticking in cold weather. If you live in a really cold climate where the temperatures drop down in the 20's and you get moisture with snow, whatever, on the door. Then what can happen is your door is going to stick and freeze to the ground. So, the best solution that we've found to do that is you've just got to get in here and clean the bottom of the garage door. And then put a good lube on it. Similar to WD-40 or any silicone oil that you have. So, what you start out at is you've got to clean all the grime and grit you can, off here, the cleaner the better. Just use any rags with soap and water. Shine that puppy up, then take your WD-40 or equivalent and just put a light mist of it on there. You don't need to have it dripping or anything. If it ever starts to freeze again you'll have to just repeat the whole process of cleaning it and re-applying the oil. Again, I'm Jake with Specialized Garage Doors here in Salt Lake City, and we've just covered how to keep a garage door from sticking in cold weather.
