I'm Terry with Towers Murray Plumbing, Murray, Utah. We're going to show you how to clean or remove a product from a P-trap. The things that will be needed: a bucket to catch water, a pair of water pump pliers. First, remove the locknuts, also known as slip joint nuts. At this point you're going to get a little bit of water. You can finish removing your locknuts, the P-trap should slide right down out of place. Empty it out and at this point you can take it to another sink and rinse it out. Now you're ready to reinstall your P-trap, and go ahead and slide it up into place. At this time you probably want to go ahead and check the rest of your washers, make sure none of your washers need to be replaced, tighten up all the appropriate locknuts and you're ready to go. I'm Terry with Towers Murray Plumbing, Murray, Utah and we've shown you how to clean your P-trap.
