Hi, this is Wesley Winford, and today I'll be showing you how to tune a guitar and intonation. So the first thing you want to do when you are setting up the intonation is go through all your strings. Make sure that your guitar is in perfect tune, but as for the first thing we're going to start off with this one string right here, the E string and what you're going to want to do is hit it, hit a harmonic there, make sure that you're right on tune. Whenever you're in tune you want to press down on the twelfth fret and if you're in tune then you hit that, when you hit that string you're going to want to take the screwdriver and this is for a Tele, setting up the intonation, you will take that saddle that the E string is sitting on and you're going to adjust it. So if it's flat then you're going to want to move it the other way to even that string out there. And so after you get that in tune then you can just go through the strings, make sure that you tune it first. Hit a harmonic. Make sure it's still in tune and press down on the fret and see which way you need to adjust the saddle, either up or down, this way or that way. And that was how to tune your guitar and intonation.
