Hi, this is Wesley Winford, and today I'll be showing you how to get your strings closer on your guitar. Alright, so when you're adjusting the height of your strings how that works is the saddles on your guitar and these are my saddles right here on this Telecaster and as you see there's these little, you can use an Allen Wrench to adjust the height right here and you just stick it in there and adjust the height of the string for each string you have here. You have two little adjustment, adjusters right here and when you're doing that you want to make sure you're not hitting the pickup when you're adjusting the height here. So I would say hit that very last fret and see if it touches the pickup and make sure it's right above it where if you bend the string any way that it's not touching the pickup, that's it's not too far away but it's not too close either. And when you're adjusting the height of the strings you want to make sure that all of your strings are pretty much kind of even, that you can look down like the neck of your guitar and look at your strings and see which one is higher or lower and that has been how to get the strings closer on your guitar.
