Hi, this is Wesley Winford, and today I'll be going over how to tell if you need new guitar strings. If you're playing and your guitar sounds like, or it's not sounding like it should like when you first put on your strings, that's probably telling you that you need to change the strings and a way how you can tell is also what I said is about the tone, you might hear a tone difference or kind of a junk that might build up like dirt from your fingers will build up on the strings and you can kind of see that if you pull the string up under the string you'll see that or if you run your finger over it then some of the dirt will show up on there. So that is a good sign of that you need to change your guitar strings. You might not, I mean you don't have to change them, there is a way to get around that dirt getting on your strings. All you have to do, you can just clean it off with a rag or get some guitar spray for your strings and just wipe the strings off. Depending on how long or how much you play or how much you gig a week or whatever determines how much you need to change your strings. You know if you're playing your guitar a lot like if you're gigging more than half of the week then you might want to change your guitar strings. And this has been how to tell if you need new guitar strings.
