Howdy, I'm Trevor Marty, and I'd like to welcome you to my home recording studio today. I've been playing music for about 25 years, I'm a fourth generation musician. And, today I'd like to talk to you about getting faster on the guitar. First off, everything starts slow, everything. You start slow, and you practice everyday, nothing comes easy. It's not going to be an overnight thing, it's just going to happen, that's just going to happen, it just going to, you take your time. You find a scale, say, we'll do this one, alright? And, you just practice it slow. And, you just practice it again, and again, and again, and again, and again. And, you do that with multiple scales, and you can do different ways of doing the scale. Watch your fingers, so when you're playing, you don't become a flailer, and flail your fingers out. Some people do that. You want to keep them close to the strings, because then you're losing speed that way. Practicing with your right hand, too, just down, up, down, up, down, up, down, up, just like that. Takes a while, but with practice you can do it. I'm Trevor Marty. Thanks for coming into my recording studio, and learning about how to get faster on the guitar.
