Hi, my name is Kirk Wilson. I live in Los Angeles, California. I'm a session player and I perform live as well and I teach at Orchepia School of Music. And today, I'm going to show you how to play simple piano chords. First of all, I want to show you C major. C is the most easiest key to play on the piano because it's all right keys. Of course, it's based on scales. So, we start with the simple scale of C major. The basic C major chord uses the first, third and the fifth notes of the scale. And this is what we call the C major triad. So, that's C major scale triad, one, three, five. So, we have different chords based on the different scales. So, we have F major scale and the F major scale uses one, three and five of the scale for F major. So, we have C major, G major. We also have minor chords. Now, the minor chords is similar to the major chords in that it's still based on the scale, but the scale is now minor instead of major. So, we still use first, the first note of the scale which is C, the third note of the scale which is E flat instead of E natural and then, G. So now we have C minor. So, that is C minor and C major. So, those are simple chords on the piano and my name is Kirk Wilson.
