Hi, my name is Roman Lomtadze. I'm the drummer of the band here in California, Los Angeles called Send the Sages, and I'm here to show you some common drum beats. The first beat I played was a standard rock beat, and now I want to play the beat called, it's sixteen. It's kind of, it's used for ballad for slow songs. Sixteen because we play sixteen beat in hi-hat, and we add the kick drum and snare drum. And I can play almost the same beat, but make it shuffled, which is called shuffled beat, so when I don't play the sixteenth notes, I don't play straight, I just shuffle them. And this beat I played just now also is very common in funk music. So, we can also call it a funk beat, and now I want to show you the shuffled beat, but on double time, which would be using rock and roll, like typical rock and roll music and blues, but fast like double time. And almost the same vibe but just faster, I would say using side stick as well, and that would be Samba beat. So, these beats are a little more complicated than typical rock or funk beat because it requires a lot of technique, a lot of kick drums. My name is Roman Lomtadze, and these are some of the most common drum beats.
