Hi there, I'm Kendall McGuire, Professional Singer and Voice Teacher in Tampa Bay, Florida. And today, I'll be giving you some practical tips on how to change your singing voice at home. Some things you might need for this is a keyboard, sheet music and lots of audio CDs to listen to or tapes if you like. Listening, listening, listening is very important. Now, not all of us are can have any kind of voice we want, but, you can sing with the best voice that you have. And so, what we're going to focus on in today's little clip is to honing on your own voice and develop your voice to be the best it can. Well, if you'd like to sing with a more jazz style, you can listen to Ella Fitzgerald or get an old, like a old opera like Porgy and Bess and begin to listen to the qualities, the tightness of vibrato in that style and begin to imitate it. Then, you get keyboard music or sheet music or vocal music that you can either print off online, purchase online or you could purchase it in the music store; something that you're interested in, something that you're passionate in because that enthusiasm will really spur you to really practice the way that you want to for your own musical success. So, begin to practice that style if it's jazz. If you're interested in opera, classical training is, is very important. It can be used in any other musical style of changing your voice. But, imitate the vibrato and we'll, we;ll talk about different exercise that you can use, "Ha-ha-ha-ha-ha", to really strengthen your diaphragm. But, listen to opera, listen to the reach. If you're interested in opera, you need to really strengthen and lengthen your singing range. Or, if you're just interested in, in fun pop music, get some singers like that and listen to those CDs and try it on your own. Maybe go out to your karaoke and, and work on the fun showy aspect of, of musical theater. Go to musical theater shows, go to concerts of this type of style that you want to learn. Listen and then try it on your own and in that way, you might be able to change your own singing voice at home. Thank you. I'm Kendall McGuire.
