I'm Jennifer Rae, a member of Actor's Equity. This is how to make an acting resume. The materials needed are a computer, word processing software, a printer and a headshot. The first step, make a list of all the work that you've done. If you are a new actor and you don't have a lot of experience, think about the skills that you have. Do not lie. It will come back to haunt you. The second step is to go online and look at acting resumes. This will give you a general idea of how they should be formated. The other thing you are going to need is a headshot. Your headshot should be stapled to your resume. It's okay to do this. That way none of your paperwork gets separated. You want to make sure that they are stapled and they are even. That gives the director or the casting agent the opportunity to flip it over on both sides and see who you are and the work that you've done. The final step, keep your resume to one page. Make sure your font is legible and that your information is correct. It's always a good idea to have somebody else proofread what you've done.
