Hi this is Susan Hilferty owner of Pole Fitness Miami located in Coral Gables, Florida. In this clip I'm going to show you a Backslide and a Shimmy. There's many different ways to do the Backslide and the Shimmy. We are going to start with the basic one right now. What you would do is put your right arm above your head and you'd come around the pole. Then you would arch your back, chest out and just do a Backslide down. We are going to then go into a Shimmy which is just moving your shoulders back and forth very fast. You'll just come all the way down. I'm going to actually thrown my head down and flip it up but I don't want to lose eye contact with you so I'm just going to keep looking. You'll throw your head back up and you'll then arch it all the way up again. So again from the beginning, you are going to come around the pole, Backslide, Shimmy, head down and arch it up. One more time to make it look a little bit more glamorous we are going to walk around the pole, and you are going to come in and do a turn and a Backslide and then Shimmy, arch it up.
