Hello this is Lucian Williams from lucianwilliams.com. I'm going to talk about different types of electric guitar sounds. Most electric guitars have at least two pickups and by using these pickups in various combinations you can get very different sounds along with the tone controls. When I have the toggle switch to the neck pickup I get a mellow and full sound, a very well rounded sound. Now when both pickups are engaged I can get a brighter sound, more twang and for the sharpest sound with the most bite I'll just use the bridge pickup. When you have the toggle switch set to the neck pickup it's very useful to roll back the tone control to get a mellow sound or a bright more twangy sound. Now when using the middle pickup and the bridge pickup settings I usually have the tone control set full on ten because those are usually 90% of the time for bright sounds but when you have the neck pickup engaged you might want to play around with the tone controls to find a variation, mellow sounds, twangy, bright, basic, etc. This is Lucian Williams and thank you for watching.
