"Hi this is Sandy Poltarack and I'm here on behalf of gladesguitars.com. Hi, in this clip we're going to work on learning how to tune the guitar in open C tuning. Again remember the normal tuning is E, A, D, G, B, E and you can remember elephants and dogs get big ears, E, A, D, G, B, E and to get to open C tuning we have to adjust some of those notes. So this E has got to be tuned down to C, that's way down there and I'm going to use this tuner to help me get the right pitch. I have got to keep going, there it is. The next is taking the A string down to G, that's a whole step down. This one takes a little big longer than some of the others. O'kay the next one is to take the D down to C, it's a whole step down again and the low C and the fourth string now are tuned in octaves. This one actually stays where it is but I'm going to take it down just a little bit more so the G stays where it is. The B actually comes up to C, whoops let's do it again. So I'm just fine tuning it now same as you'll have to. This is C again, G, C, G, C and the first string stays where it is. O'kay this has been Sandy Poltarack and that's open C tuning."
