"Hi, I'm Richard Petty, I'm a photographer in St. Louis and this is tips for Senior Photography. If you're going to take pictures of seniors, first thing you need to do is be sure that you get them relaxed and have them trusting you so spend some time talking to them. One of the things that I do is I bring a portfolio of pictures of seniors, not all of which are my pictures, and have them go through that portfolio and tell me which pictures they really like and which pictures they don't like. That tells me a lot about what their expectations are. Secondly I do two sessions, I like to do one indoors either in the studio or at their home and then another one in the park. Usually, they, most of the pictures they buy are the ones that we do in the park. Then the final tip is take a lot of pictures because you'll find that high school seniors are at an age where they're very picky, very particular about their pictures and there are pictures that you will think are absolutely wonderful and they won't like exactly how their mouth is or something like that. I think you'll have great fun taking pictures with seniors and if you like kids, it's a great way to earn a living."
