"Hi, this is Carlos Navarro, I'm an artist here in Miami, Florida. In this clip I'm going to show you how to paint roses on canvas. I have to start with an undertone, my undertone is usually brown. And when I want to paint a rose, I usually have a model of a rose, I don't have one today, because really, a rose isn't very difficult. You start by doing your petals, petals overlap, you start by doing also, the bottom of the rose, the leaves that are from the bottom. And then you can create any kind of stem for the rose. And then you do your tops, your tops is very simple, it's just a matter of a bunch of interlocking circles, like this. You might have one that comes a little bit like this, one that comes from behind, and then one that's about to fall apart here. I also put in some leaves, to make it seem like your rose is actually still alive, you don't want some dead roses. And then what I wind up doing is, it maybe sometime along the way, I put a rose that is in full bloom. Those are a little bit more difficult, but not really, you just have realize that they're all just circles amongst each other, it's a little bit further open. And again, you've got your leaves here and you can do it with one color. I had a lot more time, I could show you how you can basically create the color of the roses and the depth that you need to create a real beautiful rose, but that's pretty simple. Once again, this is Carlos Navarro, thank you for watching."
