"Hi, I'm Tim Gibson; I'm going to talk to you about how to remove a kitchen faucet. Now removing a kitchen faucet is relatively easy and all you'll need for tools is a crescent wrench; perhaps a pair of slip joint pliers and possibly a pipe wrench, depending on what type of connections that you have. But having these will be pretty much keep, keep you covered for whatever you need. Now the first thing we want to do is, down below your sink, you're going to have a couple of cutoffs. So we want to go ahead and close these valves, secure them down tight and this will shut your water off to the faucet. Once we do that, we want to go and turn the faucet on and go to cold and then all the way over to hot, just to make sure that the water is off and to relieve any pressure in the system. Once you do that, then we can go ahead and remove the fittings. In this case, what I would do is I would go ahead and remove the fittings from the faucet attach points and so they're going to be up in here and we've got a couple of things going on here. We've got a line cut in for a filter here and then we've also got lines that are going to the, the dishwasher. So we want to make sure that we're doing the correct lines. But once we remove the lines up here on the stubs; then up underneath, there is a set screw that is a, it's a large ring that holds this faucet down to the sink. So we reach up in there and we will loosen that up and then the faucet will just come out. And pretty much that's all, all there is to it and it just takes, it's a little bit of a, a tight work; but on the bottom of these gaskets, there is a gasket on the bottom of this faucet that simply seals it to the sink. So there's really not anything complex. So again, we want to turn the water off and then verify that the water is off with our faucet. Disconnect the connection from the cold water and the hot water and then unscrew the large ring that holds the faucet down and then the faucet will simply lift out. So I'm Tim Gibson with how to remove a kitchen faucet."
