"Alright folks in this clip I'm going to teach you haw to draw a Leprechaun. Alright well for one thing Leprechauns are fairly cheerful looking creatures. So there's no harm in making them look that way. Now of you want of course feel free to make your Leprechaun look as weird or frightening as you like. I will tell you a couple of trademark characteristics though. One thing they generally look like fairly happy little fellows. Which means I'd probably give mine a big old grin. I'm making his smile kind of come up little bit under his nose. Like that and I'm drawing the bottom of his lip. Which will eventually turn into the base of his beard. Like so. You could come up here and give him a little beard. Now some folks might like to give him a little up pointing ears. Just to kind of show that they have the Elf like qualities to them. That is of course your prerogative. One thing I would suggest doing. As you come up to the top of their head. Is make sure that you do give them. Their trademark hat. Why? Because well, if you want people to know what it is your drawing. It's just a good move. With the Leprechauns the trademark hat is essential and it's just a visual give away. One way that you can do that is by adding the belt buckle to the top. They seem to always have fun little belt buckle on the top and it's just one of their trademark identifying characteristics. Just the way it is. So there you've given him his little hat and now I'd come down and I'd you know maybe I'd add a little bow tie. Down in here. They kind of look like old wee Scottish gentlemen these guys and obviously. Your going to want to make sure your going to draw them proportionally small. Feel free to add a little flairs here and there. To the costume that the guy wearing. Try to make them look a little bit stumpier too. Like you know just trying to emphases the fact that their not it's not a fully sized man. He's defiantly small and another thing that you could do to make them look more Leprechaun like. Is add the little belt buckles on the shoes. I'm not exactly sure what they have these. But again it seems to be sort of a trademark thing. So don't screw around with it. But you know add your own creative flair and lets see. Once you have your basic body. I would say your doing pretty good. Of course at this point if you wanted to. You could add like you crock of gold off to the side. You know. Or you know just to give some clues visually a four leaf clover. But essentially at this point you should have already done enough. To give your audience the visual clues that this is fact a Leprechaun."
