"I'm Joel Hickerson from grindog.com, and we're going to draw a simple horse. Alright, we'll start by turning our sketch pad sideways, as a horse is a little longer than they are tall. We'll draw the biggest part of our horse first, which is the body. We'll start with an ellipse with a nice safe, safe shape. And we'll go to the head with that. Now, a horses head is separated from its body. So we'll draw a circle for the head, and then a circle for the nose. We'll connect these two with lines. OK, then we'll connect the head kind of in a half circle to the body. Give it two pointy ears, and an eyeball. Did you ever look at the side of a horses face, you won't be able to see the other side. OK, the nose, legs, a horse has four legs last time I checked, and then a tail, it's going to be kind of flowing. Alright, making up the legs. OK, we're going to give her a little bit of a mane. Now we're drawing in pencil to start with. This is our, what we're drawing now are our construction elements. We'll come back with a pen and trace our construction elements after we're done. So, get your pen, your marker, go over the neck, the body. Now, the front leg, we're going to put behind the body, so we'll cross over that leg. Draw the huff, a huff is basically just a half circle cut over, cut with a line. Second legs in front, so we'll cross the body with that. Half circle huffs. The third leg is behind the body, so the ellipse goes over it. The fourth leg is in front of the body, then we, we kind of straighten out the round back, bring the tail, a series of lines for that. The mane, pointy ears, a little bit of mane towards the front. The eye in the front. Now, the chin, or the cheek of the horse is also accentuated. Alright, now if we've done our job right, we can come back and erase our construction lines. Always draw your construction lines very lightly with pencil so you can come back and erase, and also they don't get in the way when you do your finished drawing. Alright, and then when you're done, you can come back and see where you left off details. You can maybe add another little line or two to the ears, or to the head, the mane, you can even make it an Appleusa if you want to. OK, and that's how you draw a simple horse."
