"Hi, I'm Ann Myrick, and today I'm going to show you, how to clean a shower curtain, we're specifically talking about plastic or vinyl today. And there are many ways to do it, you can either get like a mildew- if the problem is more mildew and not soap scum, you can get just a mildew spray. And I would take this out, this is still hanging on the rod, but I would take it out, probably outside, just so you don't smell the chemical, and it's just- shower curtains are- it'll be a messy job. But you can spray the mildew spray and let it sit a little bit, and then just go back, and you might have to scrub a little bit with just a little scrub brush, or hose it down. Also you could use like a Fantastic product, or a little bit of a powder product with bleach in it, and just kind of scrub it down and then hose it off, or you can put plastic and vinyl showers curtains in the washer. What you would want to do is, you would want to be sure that you wash it in a cold cycle, because the heat might break it up, so you might wash it in a cold cycle, and probably on a gently cycle also, and put a little bit of detergent in it, you might want to put a little bit of vinegar in it, and wash it, and then you really don't have to dry a shower curtain, there's no reason to, because they get wet anyway, so you can just bring it up, and go on and hang it in your rod, and let it drip dry. For a vinyl or plastic shower curtain, that's the best thing to do, because the heat will break it down, and make it start splitting and cracking and kind of fall apart. This is Ann Myrick, and that is how to clean a vinyl or plastic shower curtain."
