"In this segment we'll talk about using acrylics. People that use acrylics literally want to get something done right away. The difference between acrylic and oil, is that when you use oil paints they take a long time to dry. Acrylics dry almost instantaneously. And especially if you're in the sun or you're outside. So when you use acrylics you have to make sure that the color you is the color you put on. But also acrylics are sort of a forgiving medium. And the reason being is that it dries so quickly, if you don't like it you put another color on top. This is actually a painting that's a very modern painting, it doesn't have any realism in it. And because of that pretty much any color that you put on would work. It doesn't have to be a specific color like if it would a painting of a person, if it was a portrait it would be a little bit different. But people that use acrylics can blend the acrylics just like oils, but it's a lot more difficult."
