In this clip we're going to talk about converting to canvas. What I interpret that to mean basically is getting a canvas that looks like this which you can buy at any normal art store. This is actually a canvas that you clip together and this is actually a reused canvas and what I've done is I have taken a canvas that I didn't want and taken it off, made sure that there are clips with a staple gun to hold this together. These sometimes are interlocking pieces of wood but you can also do that by buying the wood yourself like for example this here is just regular wood that I buy at a hardware store. I cut that wood and I piece it together and I have the canvas here which I buy in rolls and cut it and then stretch it over the pieces of wood. That creates what is basically your canvas and if you look at this painting for example you will see that the canvas has been stretched over the same type of wood stretcher that I just discussed.
