"I'm Allison, and I'm here to show you how to do the knit stitch. For the cast on stitches those should be on the needle in your left hand, and the needle in the right hand should be empty. Place the working yarn that's attached to the ball of the yarn through the fingers on your left hand. With the right needle you will go through the front of the stitch on the needle, the first one. Then, you will wrap the yarn around the right needle, pull the right needle through. And then, pull the old stitch off the left needle. You have now created one stitch. Again, the right needle through the front of the loop on the left needle. Wrap the yarn around the right needle, pull it through, and pull the old stitch off. You have now created your second knit stitch. You will repeat this all the way down the cast on stitches until you have completed one row. Through the front of the loop, wrap, pull through, and pull the old stitch off. Through the front, wrap, pull through, and pull the old stitch off the left needle."
