So moving on from the glue sticks. You are going to move into using your gel mediums or gloss medium. Again these are acrylic based so they're water based which means that you can add water to them to change their consistency and usually they are used with acrylic paints but for todays purpose we are going to mix them with water. You can see that there is a little slight difference in color. This one is a little more, this one is called the fluid medium so it is a little bit more watery on the inside and it is kind of hard to see so I'll take a little bit out for you to see. It is a milky sort of color like consistency. The great thing about these is that they actually dry clear and that you are going to be using it on both the bottom of the collage material as well as on the top so you're not going to be dealing with the same issues that glue sticks would present which is having glue on the wrong side and trying to wipe it away, which sometimes removes some of the color of the paper. So you have here a very thick like consistency, a gooey consistency and we want to kind of change that and make it a little milkier, a little waterier. So we're going to do that next.
