My name's Ryan Parker with Parker Home Renovations in New Braunfels, Texas and today I'm going to teach you how to install weather stripping. There's several different types of weather stripping. You have magnetic weather strippings, you have the type of weather stripping that you'd have to nail up, you have tubular weather stripping. The kind that I'm going to show you here, is a pretty common, commonly used kind. Basically what you have to do is, you go to the door that the weather stripping needs to be replaced on, and you'll actually take the weather stripping, get it started, pull it away from the door, and you'll actually just pull the weather stripping out, is what you'll do. With this type of weather stripping there should be a groove in the door, where you'll actually insert this end of the weather, weather stripping into that groove. And you'll just put, push it in and it will pop into place. If you need to cut the weather stripping down to size you can use a pair of scissors or utility knife. But with other types of weather stripping, like the magnetic or the kind that you just nail up, you'll just have to pull the old stuff down, hold the new weather stripping in place, which is already cut to size. And then you'll just have to nail it in place or you'll have to glue the magnetic strips onto the door, in order to, to let it, adhere to the magnet. If you have any other questions you can visit me at Parker Home Renovations dot com.
