"Hi, my name is Melissa Maggiore with Alessi Bakeries in Tampa Florida. This is a humorous cake topper. A lot of whimsical, fun wedding cakes are embellished with these more, not so classical whimsical cake toppers. One important factors when you're actually putting one of these on your wedding cake, especially since your wedding cake might be at a slope, or might have a different angle, or might have a different actual cut out pattern. It might not be as leveled as you would need it to be to actually put the topper on the top of the cake. So basically what we've done, is we've actually taken a separation dowel, which this is basically an extender, something that you would actually put on a wedding cake column to actually make it higher, for if you have cake tiers that are a little bit higher. We've taken this extender dowel, and we've just gently hot glued it around the base of the actual topper. You'd want to hot glue this, so that way when you actually insert the topper into the top of the cake, it's not going to slide or go anywhere. It's very important that you hot glue the actual dowel to the bottom of the topper, at least maybe a day or at least 5 to 6 hours before. you want to make sure it's good and dry so it doesn't move, so it's very sturdy before you actually insert it into the wedding cake. My name is Melissa Maggorie with Alessi Bakeries, in Tampa Florida."
