"Now what decent Leprechaun would be caught without his hat on, you might ask. In traditional Leprechaun lore Leprechauns always had their hat on. Very, very rarely took them off especially in public. So our crazy Leprechaun costumes are going to be no exception. Now you see here, that I've actually done some different things to this hat. Things that, shall we say, were not typical in Ireland in a hundred, five hundred, a Millenia ago. So, with this hat you're just going to see some nice glitter on it, something a little more sparkley, a little more flare, a little more 'hey look at me I have a crazy Leprechaun costume on. I'm just not one of those normal, sane Leprechauns I'm crazy'. Now again, you can get these hats at a variety of places and they're not that expensive for some of the lower line ones. You can get super fancy ones, huge ones that extend upwards. I like the nice little rounded, glittery top hat. It's smaller, so a little subdued, but still has a lot of flare. Again, you can find them at convenient stores, thrift stores, costume stores. But I want to warn you, costume stores especially for this type of stuff can be a regular rip off. So, if you have other options, other convenient stores, or even sometimes fabric stores will have their own little line of holiday gear. Check those places out first before you go to the costume shop. You'll probably end up paying anywhere from 50 to 60 percent what you'd pay at the costume shop."
