"You know, every year consumer fireworks cause burn injuries to many of the nation's public. Hi, I'm Captain Joe Bruni, with over three decades of fire fighting and emergency medical service experience. Any time you're using consumer fireworks, at any type of holiday event or party, please ensure that they are only consumer bought fireworks, intended for consumer use only. When using consumer fireworks, keep them completely away, from flammables that you might find on the person, or the person's clothing. When lighting and using consumer fireworks, such as sparklers, fountains that emit sparks, or anything along those lines, do not wear any type of loose fitting clothing, bare feet or open toed shoes. As these sparks can reach twelve hundred degrees, and cause significant burn injuries. If a piece of clothing would happen to catch fire, stop, drop, and roll, would be the first thing, that you would want to suggest and do with the victim. Also, any long flowing hair should be tied back, so it does not hang over the face area, so sparks and burn injuries can be avoided. And again, all flammables should be strictly stayed away from. I'm Captain Joe Bruni. Stay safe and we'll see you next time."
