"Let's talk about how to get started as a Professional DJ. And, a Professional DJ is anyone who’s actually getting paid to DJ. And, there are a lot of different venues out there for DJ's nowadays. Everybody's looking for a DJ. From weddings, to Bar Mitzvah's, to Quence parties, to nightclubs to restaurants, to hotels, there's actually a lot of work out there for us. One of the ways to become a Professional DJ is actually create your demo, create a mix tape, and maybe seek an agent or a promoter, or someone who actually wants to promote you as their DJ. In many cases that's the way to start getting a lot of work. Another way is to get into the competition scene. There are competition DJ's who win a few battles and all of a sudden they're in big demand, and they're touring all around the country. And, like I said before, always getting in with the promoters and getting into the clubs and being there at the places that you want to spin is always first and foremost. So yea, be that guy standing in line, be there waiting and when that other DJ falls off, you'll be there to pick up where he left off."
