In going along with the idea of combining two senses we go back to the idea of sound and how can you make a sound visual. And again this is perhaps a, a project for your sketchbook but there are also artists who have made a, a real study of this. And this is also something that happens in cartoons and comic books and stuff a lot. So it's a handy thing to know, how you again you know, use a visual to make the word have an, a visceral impact. And here we have Roy Lichtenstein and he's doing a, you know, here we go "WHAM!" It's the way that it's written it's in large very strong letters, there's no curvy nous about these letters. There's an exclamation point at the end, there is a progression there. They're put in you know, behind each other so that you get more of the sense a you know this destruction just starting to happen. And he's added another letter in there so you know, that's a, a very common technique and he is, it, these are actually very large. This is what this is probably a six-foot painting so these letters are probably two feet tall. And you know, when you've got that and they're yellow and they "WHAM!" You're going to almost hear the noise of that, of that accident happening. It's not an accident it's meant to be but that destruction happening, that's a better term.
