The tertiary colors are what you get when you mix a primary and a secondary together, one and two make three. So, I'm going to make a yellow-orange to fit in here, so I've got my orange, going to add a little bit more yellow to it, and a lot of times this comes under, you might find this as a listed as a deep cadmium yellow. But see, it's kind of a tangerine; we have a color that's in between the yellow and the the orange. Then we're going to do the same over here. So I'm going to add to some red to that, because that's basically, sort of what I'm looking at here, and I think, let's see, okay. You could see it's more orange than that, and it's darker than this. Okay, we've got our red-violet, which is mixing red with violet, so my violet here needs more red. And of course what happens too is as soon as you mix yellow with anything, you're going to darken the yellow; I mean it's sort of instantaneous. My red is kind of weak, I think.
