Joel Hickerson, grindog.com. Today we're going to draw noses...human noses. Here the nose is basically constructed of two different parts. You have a bulb, which is the end of your nose, and then the straight, top of your nose. And then of course, you have nostrils and accessories, but mainly what you want to concentrate on is the bottom circle and the top stem. Okay, and turn sideways, you get the same thing. You got the circle with the bottom, and the straight upper part, and it curves back into the eyebrow, kay? Nostrils...alright. So, but there are different kinds of noses, and it, simplify it, you could just draw, whoops! A slight half circle, and then add a nostril. Or you can draw a longer nose. Really accent the nostril. Kay. That also lends itself to good witch noses and, umm, sniffers, if you really want to emphasize sniffing. Another nose might be the broken nose, which you see on boxers where the stem part is actually bent in and then you have a smaller bulb at the bottom. The nostrils actually go up and you have a fine boxer nose, or a broken nose. Usually follow this with a really heavy brow, and maybe a poochie lip, kay? Umm, another type of nose if you want to simplify it would just be a circle with two umm, nostrils on that. And that pretty much sums up the noses. You can do a lot more from the front if you wanted to. This is the circular nose from the front. This would be the circular nose from the side. And that's how you draw human noses.
