"Hi my name is Dave Andrews, today I'm going to show you how to reset a keyboard. Lets go to our computer and what we are going to do is pull up the keyboard settings in control panel. Lets click on the start button and in this start search area in Vista we are going to pull up control panel. So I'm just going to type control. And then control panel is one of the options that appears. Now in the control panel make sure you are on the classic view. And you'll find an item that says keyboard. Scroll down until you find it there, keyboard. Now what this is going to do is allow you to reset the settings for your keyboard in windows. These first two settings are the repeat delay and repeat rate. Repeat delay is the amount of time that your keyboard will wait before it begins repeating a key if you hold down that key. There's a little area right here beneath it where you can click in and kind of test it. So I am going to hold down a key, did you notice that delay before it started repeating. If I turn that delay to short, come in here and start typing again, that delay was a lot less before it began repeating. I can also change the repeat rate here from slow to fast. As you can see it repeats much less, with much less speed. The last setting that you'll see is the cursor blink rate. And that is the speed of the blinking cursor that you'll get when you are in the typing mode in different programs. To apply your settings just scroll down and click on apply and then click on ok. My name is Dave Andrews and I've just showed you how to reset a keyboard."
